About the Role
Six Sense Consulting is representing a well-established financial services business currently looking to appoint an experienced ESD and Third-Party Specialist. Based in South Africa, this role is designed for a professional who can bridge the gap between high-level financial strategy and complex B-BBEE compliance requirements. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing funding partnerships and ensuring the company remains at the forefront of development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
To be successful in this position, you must possess a solid foundation in both finance and regulatory compliance. We are looking for an individual with the following qualifications and professional background:
- Educational Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or a closely related field is required. Candidates holding a postgraduate degree (Masters), CA (SA), or professional certifications such as a CFA will have a distinct advantage.
- Professional Experience: You must have at least 5 years of proven experience within funds or funding partnerships, combined with extensive knowledge of B-BBEE verification and rating services.
- Regulatory Expertise: A deep understanding of the BEE Act, Codes of Good Practice, sector charters, and the PPPFA is essential to succeed in this role.
- Analytical Skills: You should be highly proficient in valuation techniques and risk analysis, ensuring that all deal structuring is sound and strategically aligned.
- Communication and Negotiation: The role demands exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You must be able to craft persuasive funding proposals and deliver high-impact presentations. Strong negotiation skills and a clear understanding of the legal and contractual aspects of fundraising are vital.
- Stakeholder Management: You will need a strong customer-centric mindset, with the ability to engage effectively with senior officials across banks, corporate entities, and government bodies. Experience working in collaborative, culturally diverse environments is a core requirement.
